Description: Hi, I'm not an Atheist, but I can relate to the misguided Christians who assume that their religion is the "default" that everyone will eventually fall back on. Peace! |

| thuirthiawindsong ::: Favorites I just drop the "God" part and they can take it to mean whatever they want. I mean I never say WHO should bless them. And really, that one is like manners. No one really thinks about it. 07-06-12 17:41:21 __________________________________________________ | |
| rose500 ::: Favorites Hi blue fire my handle is black rose and i was a christian and converted to wicca about 12 years ago keep the videos comming. 07-03-03 10:16:02 __________________________________________________ | |
| kraisins ::: Favorites Even as an atheist I do that. I suppose it's like saying Please and Thank you. It just comes out. I don't even mean to say it half the time. 07-02-27 20:09:05 __________________________________________________ | |
| Tanukinuki ::: Favorites Here, here. Witches have been very trivialized in the media and popular culture. I'd like to see a movement that would untrivialize Paganism and I think Youtube and Pagan podcasts are starting to do that. 07-02-27 14:43:38 __________________________________________________ | |
| BlueFireWitch ::: Favorites God Bless You doesn't matter that much. I pick my battles carefully. I do correct people when they say " That girl is such a witch," when they mean to say "bitch." I don't take kindly to a word I use to describe my spiritual self being used in a mean spirited way. 07-02-27 13:29:13 __________________________________________________ | |
| Tanukinuki ::: Favorites No need to get snappy because it does carry a smally twinge of ignorance on the part of each. I thank the person for the blessing because it's supposed to be a good thing. If you would rather a person not bless you then ignore the blessing. 07-02-27 10:28:31 __________________________________________________ | |
| Tanukinuki ::: Favorites As a pagan, I must say that when people say "God Bless You" or "Bless you" they're doing it out of habit and culture. In China, they say nothing. It's not that they don't care, it's that their culture has not created a custom for the sneeze. Most people have no idea what the history behind "God Bless You" is they just say it because it's been said for generations. 07-02-27 10:28:19 __________________________________________________ | |
| 5and10 ::: Favorites I do believe you make assumptions every day as well. They mean no harm. Most people were taught to say, "God Bless you." out of manners. I really don't think the statement is really anything of worship. I personally wouldn't even take a second to think about it. 07-02-27 09:32:41 __________________________________________________ | |
| tannhaus ::: Favorites No...but they're making an assumption 07-02-27 03:27:44 __________________________________________________ | |
| evil1337 ::: Favorites Well I dont think that ALL the people that say "Bless you" when you sneeze are trying to convert you. Its like tossing salt over your shoulder when you spill it. Its just a tradition. 07-02-27 02:35:01 __________________________________________________ | |
