| alexgerrior ::: Favorites tell us more o wise one 07-09-18 17:04:30 __________________________________________________ | |
| Leemacdizzle ::: Favorites sorry my classic vintage band shirt and tight jeans must have been in the wash, that or every other band in the world was borrowing them, i'll fire the wardrobe team 07-08-28 21:46:21 __________________________________________________ | |
| xxYPAxx ::: Favorites Yeah, fire your wardrobe team, but don't be to harsh to your mom! :D 07-08-31 04:13:01 __________________________________________________ | |
| xxYPAxx ::: Favorites Is the singer really wearing bermudas and white tennis-socks? That's a no-no not only for a rock-band member... CaroLION please tell those guys (if you know'em) to keep it short and simple (esp. the first song of a set)...and not two songs in one unless everybody in the audience has got your album and knows what will happen... 07-08-28 12:00:45 __________________________________________________ | |
| BillyHanifen ::: Favorites They definately should have wrote out their entire setlist (complete with lyrics & chord progression, of course) before they played, and handed out to the audience...The crowd must have been scared and confused when they went from one song to another. And shouldn't these guys know that the clothes you wear on stage is directly related to how talented you are as a band? Jeez /sarcasm 07-08-31 01:47:44 __________________________________________________ | |
| xxYPAxx ::: Favorites I understand your doubts, but still I think that a live situation requires certain "procedures" (I don't know a better word for what I want to say...not me native language ye know). A first song is important for a set. It should be a short introduction, not an epic rock-opera-thing. It should make the audience interested and not overstrain them. 07-08-31 04:43:49 __________________________________________________ | |
| xxYPAxx ::: Favorites And, believe it or not, your stage appearance (incl. the stuff you're wearing) is an important factor for how your music is received. While your eyes have an intake capacity of 10.000.000 bits per sec. , your ears only have one of 100.000 bits per sec. (Wikipedia) That's the way mtv works. You like the vid, you like the song etc. So: Yes, the way you are dressed on stage IS IN FACT in your brain related to how talented (you think) a band is...Sad but true. 07-08-31 04:44:26 __________________________________________________ | |
| Leemacdizzle ::: Favorites I find it a little ironic that you say sad but true on account that you know that it is ridiculous to judge a band on how it looks, yet you'll still excersise it by going onto videos of MUSIC and commenting on the way they look. I'm glad MTV has done their part to further the music industry, im gonna go turn it on and watch a show about rich kids. 07-08-31 11:15:58 __________________________________________________ | |
| xxYPAxx ::: Favorites OK, one thing is: I personally dislike a combination of shorts and tennis-socks, no matter who is wearing them. To me that's no style or bad taste. Another thing is: A lot people think that way, too. And yet another thing is: The mechanisms of perception work this way, whether I or they like it or not, and I think it's better to be aware of that. It wasn't even meant as a criticism but as an advice. PS: MTV SUCKS! 07-09-01 18:19:23 __________________________________________________ | |
