Example Beckman in Spain or Zidane in Italy. I live in another country and know how hard it is to learn another language. But after 12 years, he should be able to do basic conversation. 12 YEARS __________________________________________________

I don't think so. I don't know how much french he actually speaks (I only speak very little), and maybe he does not feel comfortable conducting an interview in French or speaking in public in French. Totally understandable. These are the kind of people we should be praising. And there are many of them in professional hockey. __________________________________________________

Not everyone is intellectual enough to learn other languages. I think it's damn hard learning a new language. French is not an important language, anyway. Only one team in the league has it as their first language. It would be nice for him to speak French. But, it's not a big deal. __________________________________________________
